DEWA ATHENA 2017

Hello, guys! Prince is back! Now, I want to share my experience when I joined a sport festival at my school that called 'DEWA ATHENA'.

Well, actually, I'm a bit confused here. Why the sport festival named 'DEWA ATHENA' or in English, we can called it 'God Athena'? First of all, we all know that Athena isn't a god, but a goddess. The second, Athena isn't a goddess of sport, but a goddess of war. The last is the god of sport is Hermes. Until this second, I still can't find the answer. So, I decided to forget about it.

Okay! Back to the topic! Now, I will start the story. Dewa Athena is a sport festival that always hold annually by SMAN 3 Bandung. The participant of Dewa Athena are grade 11th and 10th. The competition day for grade 11th and 10th held in different day. For grade 11th, the competition held on 22nd and 23rd of March 2017. For grade 10th, the competition held on 24th of March 2017 and will  continued on 1st of April 2017.

There were so many sports competition. There are gobak sodor, badminton, basketball, futsal, dodge ball, relay, and tug of war. First matches were female badminton and gobak sodor for my class. For your information, if you forgot, I'm in class 10th Science 3. I didn't watch the female badminton competition, but I watched gobak sodor. If you don't know about gobak sodor, I will explain it to you first.

Gobak sodor or in English we can called it 'Go Back Through The Door' is the game that consist two teams and the rule of thumb is to intercept the opponent can't escape to the last line in a back and forth. I forgot who was the opponent of my class. The match was very fierce. At first, the match was draw. So, the referee decided that the players had to play for one more round. Luckily, my class won the match. But, sadly, I heard that my class lose the female badminton match.

The next match was relay. I joined this match but sadly, yeah... My class lose. I cheated in this match because I didn't understand about the rules. After relay, I didn't watch the rest of the match because I had to go to practice angklung. There was evaluation for preparing the angklung concert. There was not much time left before the concert. So, me and my angklung's team practice until night came. After that, I went home and rest because I was too tired.

LEARNING FROM NATURE

Every single thing in this world is born from nature. Humans, animals, plants, and even abiotic things such as rock and water are born from nature. Although we, humans, are born from it, do we understand about nature itself?

Every human has their own perspective about nature. To put it in simple definition, nature is a place that created by God for us, the living creature, to lived, along with everything that we need for survive. More simple definition, nature is what we are born with. Now we have knew already about the definition, but what we can learn from nature?

We always not realize what we can learn from nature. In this modern era, youth people are more prefer to play gadget than to enjoy the beautiful scenery of nature in this world and learn from it. Just look around your environment! From something that we always look every day, liked plants. Trees, we know that trees have so many benefits for us, give us oxygen, water, and food. Watch it carefully. A green leaf that grows on tree doesn’t resist turning red when autumn approaches. From trees, we can learn about acceptance and none resistance.

Other example is flowers. Flowers give us benefits from their fragrance and look. We can use flowers as a decoration. But, do you know what? Flowers don’t discriminate who they share their beauty and fragrance with. From them, we can learn about true compassion and love.

Are there more examples other than plants? We still have animals. Look at the baby birds when they learn how to fly! We must dare to take our feet off the ground, spread our wings, and soar, just like baby birds do. We learn about limitless freedom from them. Look at the ants and bees. Their community all participate together to benefit all those in community. What lesson do we get from them? We get lesson about responsibility and to do your best.

We can learn from living things, and how about other than that, such as scenery? Just look at the vast sky that extends above! The sky is backdrop of our mind. In other words, don’t thing too much. Look at the stars that sparkling beautifully in the middle of night sky. We have to shine bright like the stars.

Feel the wind that blowing gently! Not all things that exist can be seen or heard. It kinds of hard to conclude the lesson that we get from wind. But, we can learn that some things need to be failed from here. Look at the beautiful scenery of sunrise and sunset! The breathtaking colors of the sunrise and sunset show us that colors vibrate energy and have the power to elicit certain emotions and feelings. In short, we learn about colors of life.

How about the weathers, such as rain? What we can learn from rain? Water is required to cleanse negativity in the world and allow a space of clarity and that is the rain job. We have to allow a space of clarity in our mind and heart.

There are so much things that we can learn from nature. When we realize this? How long we will just sit in front of the computer and gadget, being an individual person? Open your eyes! Go outside and enjoy the nature! Watch it carefully, learn from it, and change to be a better person in the future.

Hey, guys! Long time no see! It's been a while since my last post about holiday, eh? Now, I would like to tell you about my classmate who always help me in this week (Actually, not only this week. He always help me when I asked him. But, in this entire week, he's really helpful).

Okay, first, his name is Fikry. I don't want to tell all of you about his full name because I don't have any permit from him. Well, I don't have time to ask for his permission! We're both fifteen years old and still in first grade at Three Senior High School in Bandung. In this entire week, I don't know why, he's really helpful to me. When I didn't understand how to solve some mathematics problems, he willingly helped me. Before he helped me with mathematics problems, I even chatted him through LINE, begged for help about it and he said yes! When I didn't have water color for art lesson, he lend me his water color and even permit me to brought his water color home! In this morning, when I wanted to give back his water color, he said to me to keep his water color until I'm done with my assigment.

He is so kind and smart. Not only for this week, but everyday. I always ask him to teach me some lessons that I don't understand. I'm really thankful to you, my pal! I really owe you! If you didn't help me, I think I will never get a good mark!

My Holiday Experienced

Hello, everyone! We're back again with Prince! It's been a long time, eh? In this post, I would like to share about my holiday experienced!!! Okay, I won't talk about nonsense, so just check it out!

The story started when I took my report card at school. I was very grateful I got good marks on all subjects and didn't get short semester. At that time, I planned all of things that I would do during school holiday. I planned to go to Cianjur with my little sister. My mom couldn't accompany us because she had work. My little sister and I would go to Cianjur on Monday and my mom only had one day for holiday on Saturday. So, that was why my mom couldn't join us.

My purpose to go to Cianjur was just for enjoying WiFi. There was nothing more, except for took care of my little sister, of course. I was too lazy to go outside for some trip. When school holiday, there always be traffic jam and that was just made me dizzy, so big NO for trip. Beside that, all of my family were busy on new year, so this was the second reason why there wouldn't be a family trip.

When Monday came, I woke up at 2 A.M. for packed all of my things that I would bring to Cianjur. I just packed some of my clothes, underwear, toothbrush, deodorant, my sketchbook, and my laptop. Very simple? Right. All of them were fit on my school bag, except my laptop and my sketchbook. I brought them with tote bag. My grandfather would picked me and my little sister on 9 A.M. Actually, we would stay at my grandfather's house there. Yeah... He told me he would picked us at 9 A.M. , but in reality, he came at 12 P.M. He said he still had work to do, so that was why he was late.

'The most important thing is we still go to Cianjur.' I thought. But, like I said before, the would be traffic jam! Not along the road, but still I found it annoying and it made my head dizzy. I decided to take an nap, so I could feel liked the time flowed fast. I hoped I would awake when I arrived at Cianjur.

It took two hours long because of traffic jam for arrived to Cianjur. It was a hot day and I was really exhausted. I took a short break and had Dzuhur pray. After that, it was time for enjoying the WiFi.

I turned on my laptop, connecting my laptop with the WiFi, and started to log in to my RP account. Yup! RP or Role Play is a game where you must act like a character on TV show, anime, cartoon, etc. or your own created character (OC). I was Role Play as my OC, who was a personification of Buda. It was really fun role playing as a town. You didn't only act, but you had to learn the history of town that you role played.

My OC that I role played sure have name. Her name is Karolina Hedervary, personification of Buda, part of Budapest town on Hungary. She is blind. I know I'm so cruel to make her blind, but it was because she got attacked by her ex-best friend while her ex-best friend was drunk. I have one more OC. His name is Rendor Hedervary, personification of Pest, part of Budapest town on Hungary. He is Karolinas' little brother.

Karolina is a tomboy girl that always mistaken as a boy because her tomboy appearance. Rendor is an emotional boy that want to make friends, but always failed because he always get angry easily. I really enjoyed role playing as them, especially Karolina. She is really funny. She is innocent, but always say vulgar jokes that always make all of her friends jaws drop and stress. On new year, there was an event 'CAPITALIA Nomination Award' and Karolina got to the final as 'The Funniest Character' and 'The Most Silently Drifting Away'. I hoped she could win the nomination.

Not only role play, I wrote a short story and learned the history of Budapest during the holiday. The story still not done, but it was a really fun holiday! I don't want to tell bad event or story about I took care of my little sister. I just simply helped her ate, took a bath, etc. because she still five years old.

I know everyone will think my holiday was really boring. But, for me it was a really worth experience. I learned something new, expand my knowledge, and had fun with my own way. Althought I didn't go anywhere and just stayed at home while at Cianjur, it was not bad at all. I hope I can have a piece holiday like this again next time.
